Housing Master Plan and Project Feasibility Study

Marquette University’s goal is to be in the top Catholic institutions in the nation. In 2006, Hanbury, in association with Brailsford & Dunlavey, developed a housing master plan that included a market demand analysis, student life program analysis, a review of existing dining services, and an analysis of existing residences to help the University target strategies to attain its aspirations. The plan focused on the ability of the current facilities to foster effective student communities, now and in the future, with an emphasis on the preferences of contemporary students, the condition and character of spaces, and the goals of Marquette’s residential programs. In 2013, Marquette again chose Hanbury to develop an undergraduate housing feasibility study to replace two existing residence halls with four new undergraduate communities and a new dining center for 1,200 students. The team developed the program, conceptual design and cost estimate for the first new residence hall.
