East Coast Laboratory and Production Facility

Invitae’s first East Coast laboratory is in the former Morrisville Outlet Mall, now re-developed and named “The Stitch.” This tenant upfit provides Invitae with a 125,000-square-foot laboratory production facility in its first phase, with an additional 125,000-square-foot available for future expansion. Phase 1 includes Accessioning Lab, Extraction Lab, Pre- and Post-PCR labs, various lab support areas, mechanical systems, shipping/receiving, open offices, conference and huddle rooms, training areas, administrative support, building core spaces, and amenities such as a coffee bar, café, gym, and interior and exterior courtyards for gathering.

This site is dedicated to the expansion of Invitae’s global operations so it can continue to meet the growing demand for genetic testing services. As a leading medical genetics company, Invitae’s mission is to make genetic information affordable and accessible for billions of patients. The facility significantly improves and expands Invitae’s testing capacity, meeting and exceeding the capacity currently housed in the company’s San Francisco facility.
