Nick Cooper will lead a new Hanbury office opening at 119 W. Broad St.

Nick Cooper, AIA, NOMA is well-known across Virginia for his design talent and commitment to the Richmond community. He shares the values that are at Hanbury's core: a commitment to design excellence, the recognition that people are the key to a successful culture that drives an organization's success, and a belief in the power of vision, community and entrepreneurship. For more than a decade, Nick has volunteered, given back, and mentored youth and young architects in Richmond. Today he sits on three community non-profit boards including Storefront for Community Design, ACE Mentor Program of RVA, and Branch Museum of Architecture. His network in this talent-rich city is helping us develop a diverse foundational team for Hanbury's new office in the heart of the arts district in Richmond. His collaborative style of leadership fits right in with our culture and the team he is assembling will be a diverse mix of architects, interior designers and planners to bring a vibrant new presence to the Richmond design community.

Nick will lead the civic and commercial market sector across the firm as well as designing projects for higher education and science & technology. Nick's commitment to the city and community he loves is helping expand our firm and our commitment to elevate design across our markets and community impact. Perhaps most importantly, with Nick's influence, we are excited to play a part in Richmond's bright future.
