Architect Marcus Brown creates spaces and places that are both accessible for people of all abilities and incomes, and have a light impact on the environment. His national and international projects span the building type spectrum--including single and multifamily residential, commercial, religious, municipal and civic buildings. Truly a lifelong student, Marcus has pursued additional training in universal design, green building, and interior air quality and moisture management. His 20+ years of experience and expertise is recognized by the American National Standards Institute, where he has participated in setting the national standards for Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities, and at the various universities and conferences where Marcus has taught design studios, lectured, and has been invited as guest critic.
"Design has improved the learning experience. This is most evident in the places that have the ability to engage human emotion. These environments are achievements accomplished through much thought and labor on behalf of the design team."
